This policy explains what Kirtsy Calibrations (“we”, “us”) collects when you visit this website, order a calibration, create an account, contact us or use our chat, and what we do with it.
Information we collect
- Order information you give us: your name, email address, phone number (optional), vehicle or equipment details, VIN or serial number if you provide one, engine and hardware details, goals and notes.
- Files you upload: ECM/TCM reads, data logs, photos and other files you attach to an order or a revision request.
- Messages: what you send through the contact, support and dealer forms, and chat conversations, including the email address you give us so we can reply.
- Account information: your name, email address and an encrypted form of your password. We cannot see your password.
- Payment information: payments are handled by the payment provider shown at checkout. Card details go directly to that provider and are not stored on this website. Our store records the order, amount, status and billing name and email.
- Technical information: your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, which our host records in server logs. To limit spam, form submissions use a one-way scrambled version of your IP address; we do not store the address itself with your message.
- Cookies: the site uses cookies needed for sign-in and the shopping cart.
How we use it
- To review your request, quote it, build and deliver your calibration, and provide support and revisions.
- To process payments, prevent fraud and abuse, and keep the site secure.
- To send you messages about your order, such as confirmations, quotes, status updates and download notices. We send marketing email only if you ask to receive it.
- To meet our legal and tax obligations and to protect our rights.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the business, and only as needed: our website host, email delivery services, our payment processor, and, where enabled, analytics and notification services. We may also disclose information when the law requires it or to protect our rights.
Your files
Files you upload are stored in a private folder that cannot be opened by web address. Only you (when signed in) and the shop can download them. We keep them as long as needed to support your order, and for a reasonable period afterwards so we can help with revisions and questions.
How long we keep information
We keep order records for as long as needed to provide support and to meet legal and accounting obligations. You can ask us to delete your account and files by contacting us; we will do so unless we are required to keep something.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you. Depending on where you live (for example, California or the European Economic Area) you may have additional rights. Contact us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Security
We use HTTPS, private file storage, access controls and other safeguards to protect your information. No system is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
Children
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
